Practical ultrasound workshop in general medicine
It was after almost 2 years of complications linked to the pandemic that Dynamecho was finally able to return to General Medicine Department of Liege University Hospital and collaborate under the tutelage of Dr Didier Giet in the establishment of a new ultrasound beginner training course. Accompanied by Dr Virginie Dumont, Dr Mélanie Roufosse and Dr Simon Van Hauwermeiren, several workshops were set up to guarantee participants, in addition to health precautions, a practical application of the use of ultrasound in general medicine consultation.
Emphasis was placed on making simple and basic scans of different anatomical regions such as the abdomen, liver, kidneys, thyroid and various structures of the musculoskeletal system. As a little addition to the training, a simulation dummy was made available for learning that matches the reality on the ground.
These practical workshops in small groups and thanks to the logistical support of the company Samsung and Vino, were rich in learning for the participants and a pleasant moment of reunion for the staff. This formula already seems to be emulating because there is already a waiting list for the next training.
