Ultrasound-Guided Immersion… Where Precision Meets Sunshine and Meaningful Encounters
Some events have that special touch of magic—an elusive alchemy born from the perfect blend of passion, commitment, and human connection.
That’s exactly what we experienced during our recent ultrasound-guided injection training on cadaver, held at the anatomy lab of the VUB in Brussels.
From the very beginning, the tone was set:
Participants came from all corners of France, Belgium, and even Morocco, representing the full spectrum of our disciplines—surgery, rheumatology, sports medicine, physical medicine… and of course, general practice.
This diversity, a hallmark of Dynamecho trainings, is what makes them so rich.
But above all, it’s a real strength:
sharp discussions, shared experiences, varied perspectives—all in a welcoming environment fueled by curiosity and a shared desire to grow.
A Close Call That Turned Into a Success Story…
Just a few days before the event, a small “accounting oversight” by the organizer (yours truly…) nearly jeopardized the training:
Five ultrasound machines were missing. Yes, five!
And yet, in record time, the teams from MDMedic and Isonic Ultrasound PartnerSamsung stepped in with remarkable efficiency, sourcing and delivering the missing machines at the very last minute.
Without them, the training would not have had the same impact or comfort for our participants.
A huge thank you to these responsive and committed partners, whose support was absolutely crucial.
Skills, Mentors, and the Joy of Sharing
On the educational side, we had the privilege of being guided by exceptional mentors a nd friends:
- Dr. Bernard Zeevaert – precise, passionate, and a true reference in physical medicine
- Dr. Chahbenderian – founder of Echoloco, whose clinical experience and teaching clarity hit the mark
- Maxence Legout, who came straight from England, with dexterity and precision that turned each technical gesture into an art form
- And yours truly, Walter Hemelryck, CEO of Dynamecho, who for over 12 years has been sharing and teaching this passion for ultrasound,
convinced that this skill, when combined with clinical assessment, truly enhances diagnosis, care, and patient well-being.
Sunshine, a Pause, and Shared Moments
The cherry on top: exceptional weather!
With 26°C and clear skies, we were able to enjoy a midday break outside at the Chalet du Laerbeek, surrounded by nature in a peaceful, idyllic setting.
This sunny moment brought a touch of the South to our scientific day, encouraging informal conversations and human connection over a relaxed and cheerful lunch.
What Comes Next?
What I take away from this experience is the collective energy, the genuine desire to learn, and above all, the beauty of sharing such a demanding yet deeply rewarding practice.
Yes, mentalities are evolving but they’re still too rigid when it comes to injections performed by other health professionals, such as paramedics.
Europe still lags behind our Anglo-Saxon neighbors, where technical procedures like these are routinely carried out by highly trained physiotherapists, like Maxence or myself.
Once again, this training proves that we all have something to learn from one another. By valuing competence over titles or diplomas, we can move further together.
Thank You
Thank you all for your trust, engagement, insights, and above all—your smiles.
See you very soon for another ultrasound-guided adventure:
human-centered, always passionate.
