Practical workshops in musculoskeletal ultrasound in general medicine (Ulg – SSMG)
Our GP friends exchanged stethoscopes for these of the new generation during this two-day training. The learning and use of the ultrasound tool in addition to the clinical examination in general medicine increases the accuracy of the clinical diagnosis and provides a clear answer in the diagnosis without taking additional risk to the patient . It would be a shame not to use it daily.
Starting from usual clinical situation in general medicine practice we have approached different pathologies with a direct application in the form of a practical workshop. Everyone could practice hands on of the essential scanning areas according to each pathology in the program of these two days.
By going through the basics of ultrasound, the review of the anatomy in detail, the clinical tests and of course the normal and abnormal aspects of different structures in imaging, the practical workshops followed one another in an extraordinary atmosphere. Each of the participants deploying the same desire, that of acquiring new skills to serve their patients.
