35th Emergency Medicine Congress
Ultrasound and Training at the Heart of Action
I would like to express my deep gratitude to the European Society for Emergency Medicine (EUSEM) and the Belgian Society for Emergency and Disaster Medicine (BeSeDIM) for granting me the honor of speaking at their 35th congress. This event, dedicated to fractures and injuries in emergency medicine, both in adults and pediatrics, was a tremendous opportunity for exchange and knowledge sharing, as well as for exceptional encounters from both a professional and human perspective.
Alongside Dr. Felix Amiot, emergency physician and co-founder of Echofirst, we had the privilege of highlighting the benefits of ultrasound in musculoskeletal trauma. This tool, perfectly complementing clinical examination, enables faster and more precise patient care. We emphasized the importance of not overlooking certain structures that are often underestimated but whose injuries, while not life-threatening, can lead to major joint complications if not properly identified and treated.
One of the highlights of this event was the hands-on workshop held in the afternoon, where we had the chance to train more than 150 emergency physicians and residents in the essential ultrasound views for emergency locomotor system diagnosis, with the support of Dr. Mischa Veen and Dr. Jordan Dhaeyer. This enthusiasm for practical learning reflects the growing interest of the medical community in point-of-care ultrasound and its integration into emergency medicine.
This participation marks another milestone for DYNAMECHO in its mission of medical training and education, always in the service of patients. None of this would have been possible without the support and trust of the EUSEM and BeSeDIM organizing committees, as well as the invaluable contribution of Dr. Florence Dupriez. I would like to warmly thank all the participants for their commitment and enthusiasm. A big thank you also to the industry partners GE Healthcare, Benetec Samsung, Mindray Europe, and Fujifilm Sonosite for their support and contribution to the success of this event.
Finally, an immense thank you to my accomplice, collaborator, and friend from Echofirst, Dr. Felix Amiot, whose expertise and passion are always present. The adventure does not stop here: more moments of sharing and transmission await us, always surrounded by exceptional people who make each of these experiences unforgettable.
Teaching and innovation continue, in the service of ever more effective and human-centered medicine!
